Namaste Everyone,
My name is a Bishal Poudel. I came to Australia on 22nd April, 2017 on a dependent visa with my wife ( who is about to finish her Nursing study later this year from ACU).
I have recently been Diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer!!!
How did I know this??
Well, this year on 2nd of March, as we were having lunch, we noticed that the colour of my eyes was unusual and pale along with dark coloured urine for few days. This prompted us to visit RBWH EMERGENCY where blood result suggest a very high level of LFT and an immediate admission to hospital was planned for. With further scans like ultrasound, CT, MRI and Biopsy, after Almost a week Tuesday 12th of May we were notified that i have Cholangiocarcinoma(Bile Duct Cancer).
This came as a huge shock to me and my family. The whole world went upside down in no time. Life is so uncertain, I realised then!!!! The treating team advised that I go back home and spend the rest of the my life which could be 2 months with my parents. This again put me into complete silence!!! Both Me and my wife were shattered since the day the news was brought to us. Recently, on May 18, a drain has been added to my body system to help get rid of extremely high level of bile with bilirubin 290. The doctors have suggest that they do it see much hope for the cure. Then, we decided to get 2nd opinion from India Doctors in India, a now they have shown us some light and a hope.
The chemotherapy is an answer at this stage. The catch here, however is to get to aindia ASAP and get it started. The tentative cost has been calculated and comes to around $160000 at this stage. The financial burden this has come to us is immensely huge!!!
BUT I am not Giving up!!!
I will fight with this and come back to community as fast as I can!!!
There is a life in me still and I will do whatever it takes to come back as a normal human being!!!!
I am not Giving Up!!!
