Mary Berry Needs Financial Help

Donation protected
Mary Jean Berry 71, one of the strongest women I know and so proud to say is my mother. The past year has brought her and my family much heartache with the passing of my father Glen Berry in December 28, 2013, the passing of my sister Harriet Tipton on March 2, 2015 and struggling with the health of my brother Edward Berry.

My mother and father lived on their retirement through Social Security in Kingsland Ga. With the health issues my mother has endured with her severe Arthiritis and titanium knee replacement and my father’s declining health issues, her life has been a struggle.  Neither of my parents could drive so their source to get around was my sister Harriet. She was such a kind hearted spirit that would give her shirt off  her back to help anyone, although she had nothing but the love of her husband, family and friends.

In the midst of my father’s death, my mother’s income was cut tremendously. My brother Edward helped pick up the slack. A few months ago my brother fell off a ladder and hurt his leg. The hospital told him that he just pulled a muscle. They said he needed a few weeks to heal. They said “work it or lose it”. In the five weeks of suffering and not able to endure the pain any longer, he went to Brunswick, Ga Hospital for a follow up. Turned out he had bacteria in his blood that has totally destroyed and ate his hip bone.  He is unable to walk and is being helped by family members to get back and forth to the doctors everyday for the pasted month or two for antibiotic shots. With no health insurance and waiting on the Obama Care process, he has to pay over $400 a month for blood thinners and pain medication. Once the bacteria are completely gone, the doctors will be replacing his hip. Edward will not be able to return to his self-employment job with Renovation Specialist for at least a year.

In the meantime, we are planning the funeral of my sister Harriet. She was my mothers helper, best friend and oldest daughter. If only, I would give anything just to have her back.

My mother’s social security after my father’s death was lowered to $723. monthly. Family members are trying to help her out as much as they can financially.

My mother Mary Berry can use financial help. I have attached a video of my brother and his struggle.

A memorial service for my sister Harriet will be held at 1 PM, Saturday March 14th, 2015 at the Woodbine Church of God in Woodbine, Ga. with Pastor Chris Ogden officiating.

Thank you for reading this and for any help you can give.
May God bless you!

Her daughter that loves her so very much!
