NPS Tournament of Minds in Adelaide

By way of introduction, my names is Tess Assaad and on behalf of parents, friends and families at Northmead Public School (NPS) we’d like to ask for your kind support in helping us raise much needed funds for the ‘Tournament of Minds’ (TOM) Maths & Engineering Team.
My daughter Sophie Assaad is part of a team of 7 NPS students who will be travelling to Adelaide on Thursday 26-29 October 2017 to represent NSW in the Australasian Pacific Finals for Maths & Engineering.
TOM is a problem solving programme for teams of students from both primary and secondary years. It is one of the fastest growing international school programmes with the involvement of thousands of participants. TOM aims to enhance the potential of kids by developing diverse skills, enterprise, time management, and the discipline to work collaboratively within a competitive environment. For the first time this year, Tournament of Minds will be go international, inviting participation by teams from New Zealand, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Africa and Uganda.

There were 12 regions from NSW participating in the TOM State Finals at UNSW on 10 September 2017. We are absolutely thrilled to advise Northmead Public School was placed FIRST in the State Finals and has progressed to the Australasian Pacific Finals in Adelaide to represent NSW. The finals will be held at Flinders University from 26-29th October 2017.
The expense related costs including accommodation, airfares, transfers and other ancillaries to send the team of 7 students with a supervising parent each and 2 facilitators is approx. $10k. Northmead Public School has been kind enough to assist with a $5K package towards these costs, however we are still short of $5K to send the team and parents to Adelaide.
Please help us reach our target by donating generously which will enable our kids to proudly respresent NSW at the Australasian Pacific Finals in Adelaide.
Once we reach our target, all proceeds will be transferred to Northmead Public School to cover all expense related costs.
