<div>When families experience crises such as housing instability, food insecurity, loss of income, or untreated health and mental health challenges, the stress directly shapes a young person’s development and daily functioning. This is compounded for youth who have been in foster care, the juvenile justice system --- or both --- as they transition back to their families.
