Trev's bushfire recovery
Donation protected
Hi friends , I have just been out to the back of Bowraville to visit my mate Trevor Bailey , who some of you will know from his many years in Bellingen. He is a kind and generous soul who has helped many over the years. He lives on a pension and has a simple happy life off grid in the bush.
On Friday a catastrophic bushfire roared through the valley where he lives, amazingly he was able to save his house, the fire literally burnt to the edge of his verandah.
Unfortunately however the fire took out all of his water tanks and shed containing his tractor , ride on mower and many other tools he needs to live in the bush.
I have set up this GoFundMe to try and raise some funds to help him buy new tanks and hopefully enough to get a tractor ( to help keep the fire hazards away from the house). His location is remote and despite having had a fire through the tree tops have not burnt , and are now crisp and the risk of a canopy fire is still a very real threat. There are smouldering trees everywhere and conditions are not looking good. He now has NO water to fight it with, the creek is dry and the tanks have melted. If you could please donate, even a little, to help Trev recover from the devastation he would be very grateful. Thanks in advance , with kindness Kyles.
