I never thought I would be in this position but here I am.
Two years ago my wife and I moved to Panama City Fl. after saving literally every penny to be closer to family. All seemed well but my wife’s legs were bothering her and I had knee replacement surgery but we had our savings, no problem. Until the leg pain got to be too much and we went to the Dr. Well our life was turned upside down when she diagnosed her with lung cancer. We spent 6 weeks in Gainesville Fl. At UF medical
Fast forward to February 7, my wife went for a chemo treatment and the doctor wanted an MRI... you guessed it a tumor on her brain, emergency brain surgery. All went well, thank God. Update 3/12 Dr. called and they missed some of the tumor, now more radiation and chemo.
Well during this episode I was diagnosed with cancer of the throat mainly in my left tonsil but was told after an ER visit and another CT that it’s spreading in to the lymph nodes and now we need to go back to Gainesville to the VA and UFHEALTH for 6 weeks or more for treatment. Update 3/12, I will Need 7 weeks 2X aday radiation and 1x aweek chemo due to how rapid it has spread.
The reason for this GoFundMe page is after a year of fighting my wifes Lung Cancer along with losing a vehicle and living on Credit cards we are finding it very difficult to strech our Social Securety checks to cover all the expences of not living at home. We have lodging provided for us at The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, which we are very grateful for. un fortunatly CC are maxed and not being able to work we cannot get any more credit which we would not be able to pay off any way. So here I am and believe me this is the hardest thing I have ever had to do swallowing my pride asking for donations.
If you could not let my wife know about this it would be appreciated as she will kill me over this.
