My name is Jennifer and this story is not about me but about a strong woman whom I consider my friend. I decided to start this gofundme account to help my co-worker in need. I don't know too many details of what it is that is exactly going on. What I do know is that no one person should go through anything alone, so what I ask of you is to read the details of what I do know and if you cannot help by donating money please help by sharing this link.

Nova is a very sweet and caring lady. She is a West Texas native, born in Fort Stockton and raised in Pecos. She moved to her new home Austin back in 2000 and is currently working at Carousel Pediatrics as a Patient service representative. She is a happy mother of 3 children and even happier grandmother to 6 grandchildren. She enjoys spending as much time as she can with her family and attending bible study twice a week. Most importantly, God and her family mean everything to Nova.
Nova was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy treatment at Texas Oncology in Austin. So far the plan is to have her go in every Friday for 3 consecutive weeks for chemotherapy, rest on the 4th Friday for 4 to 5 months in the hopes that the bladder will not have to be removed. She is also receiving injections twice a week to help her immune system. This as everyone can imagine can be something very hard to accept and face head on. Nova is trying her hardest to push through every week, I truly admire her strength. There are days where the medication from the chemo drains her and days that she seems to handle them pretty well.
Hopefully this gofundme account will help her with her medical bills. She is currently covered with health insurance; unfortunately what they do cover for her treatments is not much. On top the cost of the treatment there are days that she cannot make it to work due the nausea which is a side effect of the chemo.
Hopefully this account can help her stay on her feet financially and help diminish her stress level to help her fight this cancer!!
