Nouf's Undergrad Research Program

My name is Nouf and I am an ambitious undergraduate community college student and an advocate of disciplinary studies, seeking financial support to further my practice in biochemistry research. This program operates from the premises of the UC Berkeley Research Stations on the South Pacific Islands of Mo'orea and Tetiaroa and will help us gain a global perspective on the chemistry regarding the natural waters. This study abroad program will require a collaboration of unique and like-minded individuals to progressively accumulate ideas as we work together in a highly educational environment. My chemistry Professor, who is also the Medical Director and Founder/Supervisor of this program, has recently pointed out my positive contributions as a chemist and has highly recommended this program for myself  to partake in the hands-on experience with evidence-based research. I am in my last year of completing my associates in applied science and want to pursue a career in studying physical therapy. I truly believe this hands-on research experience will add remarkable value to my field of evidence-based practice with future patients. Along with this idea I feel that I owe my community and future partnerships a wider range of knowledge in cultural diversity and the art of science.

The cost of this trip is $5300 which includes airfare, room and board, and transportation. This cost does not include tuition/fees and meal costs. A final payment is due February 1, 2018.  Unfortunately, I am unable to come up with this amount on my own as a full-time student and am reaching out for any supportive contributions in this investment of creating better awareness as I hope to teach others all that I've learned upon my return.
