NOT UR BABY PT. II

Not Ur Baby is a pop-up art show and benefit. The show aims to bring awareness and raise proceeds for one of Oakland's largest community issues: human trafficking. Each of the artists involved in the show is asked to create a "donation piece", and when one of the pieces is sold, 100% of the profit goes directly to Regina's Door, a boutique in Downtown Oakland that serves as a space for at-risk youth and human trafficking survivors.
In an art world too often dictated by men, Not Ur Baby gives an opportunity for Bay Area women artists to showcase their work and allow the community to experience a female-dominant show. Women of color and those who identify as queer will run the show for a change. From rappers to DJs, to graphic artists to graffiti artists, artists working in a wide variety of mediums will get a chance to showcase their work.
The first version of the show, held last August at Oakland Terminal in West Oakland, brought out over 300 people, and raised just under $500 for the fight against human trafficking. We'll aim to build on that momentum with Not Ur Baby Pt. II

Money will be used for merchandise, venue cost and artist cost. To help bring the show to its full potential for the community to enjoy.
