As some of you may or may not know I was born (as I like to call it) a bit wonky. Throughout my life I have had a number of operations for different reasons, the most recent couple within the last 2-3 years. In 2016 I had my hip socket rotated  resulting in me needing a wheelchair and crutches to get around for most of the year (I have really cool X-rays for those of you interested in that sort of thing). This was followed by a further operation to have my metal work removed, hydrotherapy and post-operative support which is still ongoing, I am having a bio-metric assessment this week!

Now if any of you have ever been in a wheel chair you will know of the urge that as soon as you are out (if you are lucky enough to be) you want to make full use of your legs as much and as often as possible, so I started running, after being told when I was born that I would walk but never run.
Around 8 months ago I came across a charity called STEPS who are doing AMAZING things in Leicestershire supporting young children and babies who are born with cerebral palsy or similar motor  disorders. I can't think if a better cause to raise money for! They need £250,000 a year just to function day to day and I would love your support in helping them on their way

When I enter races my aim above all is to finish which will be plan in two weeks’ time and if I can raise a bit of money for what I believe is an amazing cause then I'll do just that!
