My grandmother’s partner suffered a severe stroke while visiting Germany and is now in a life-threatening condition. He is originally from Mexico, and unfortunately, his travel insurance refuses to cover the costs, as strokes are not included in their coverage. 
 
Further examinations have revealed that he urgently needs surgery: an artery leading to the brain must be operated on to prevent a life-threatening blockage.
