Northville City Fire - Explorer Post 1717

Donation protected
The City of Northville, Michigan offers the area youth, ages 14-20, the opportunity to learn about the Fire Service with hands on training. The program is sponsored by the City's Fire Department, but is strictly funded by private donations & post fundraising. Each year our program spends multiple days working throughout the community to raise money for new gear/equipment and for travel expenses.

Due to the pandemic, we have stopped all in person fundraising in order to keep the public and our youth safe.

Part of learning this profession is becoming extremely comfortable with the protective gear that firefighters wear. This gear has a set life span and after that amount of time has elapsed the equipment is no longer safe to use in "live fire" evolutions.

This Go Fund Me is being created to specifically raise funds to purchase new turn out gear, masks, and helmets that can be used to outfit year after year of Explorers. Proper safety equipment allows us to remain safe while learning this dangerous and rewarding career.

With your donation, you will be protecting the next generation of Firefighters in your community.

We thank each and every person who takes the time to donate to our cause.

More information about the program can be found on the City's website. The link is listed below.
