North/South 2017 Hotel Rooms

Hey half-minds! We really hope you had a fantastic time at North/South Intercourse 2017! We organizers put countless hours into providing you with a quality event! However, there were some unforeseen expenses that we were hit with at the last minute, and we hope you can help.
We reserved the entire hotel for the event to keep the muggles out (Naked, floating cuddle puddle anyone?). That also put us on the hook for any unbooked rooms. We usually max the event out @ 250 people, so we didn't think it would be a problem filling the hotel almost a year ago. With attendance at only 185 this year we kept a close eye on reservations to budget for any unused rooms, and we thought we had enough when a week before the event there were 9 unbooked rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel had 12 more room cancellations in the 48 hours prior to the start of the event, bringing the total up to 21! Yikes!
After all of our expenses were paid for, we were short about $1200 that has fallen on the organizers to pay.
We are asking for donations to help cover those costs. Did you appreciate having the hotel to ourselves (and the pool open way past midnight!)? Did you love the awesome giveaways (if we knew about all those rooms there would have been no t-shirts!)? If so, please consider a donation to help us out. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Stretch Goal: We like to keep at least $2000 for seed money to plan the next North South. This $1200 goal only gets us back to $0. So if you want to give the organizers (probably me again) for N/S 2019 some love all extra will go towards that event. On-On, wankers!
