Support Northern Institute of Dance’s 2026 Brazil Cultural Exchange

Every January, dancers from the Northern Institute of Dance (NID) are selected to travel to Presidente Prudente, Brazil, to perform with the junior company Promodança. This international exchange brings together over 75 dancers and world-class choreographers and instructors for an intensive 4–5 week program focused on building professional-level productions and sharing the joy of dance with the local community.

Promodança is known for bringing in renowned instructors from around the globe to work closely with participants on a full-length ballet and mixed repertoire performances. Dancers from NID have been honoured to participate annually since 2022, returning each year with improved technique, deepened cultural appreciation, and invaluable performance experience.

Over the course of the program, dancers perform more than six shows, appearing at community venues such as local theatres and shopping centres to promote and celebrate the arts. It’s a cornerstone of our curriculum—providing students with high-level training, international exposure, and the chance to be part of a meaningful cultural exchange.

We’re raising funds to help reduce the financial burden of travel and accommodations for families whose dancers have been selected for this incredible opportunity. With your support, we can ensure that cost is never a barrier to growth, experience, and artistic achievement.
