North Yarmouth warm space

Hi my name is Darren, we have been running a local emergency food bank for a few years now but always thinking ahead to help more people. Here is the Vision we have

THE VISION
In the heart of North Yarmouth, a beacon of hope and warmth is beginning to shine. This beacon is known as The Heart of GYnet, a community hub envisioned to be a sanctuary for all, especially those in need. The founders of The Heart of GYnet had a dream: to create a space where everyone, regardless of their circumstances, can find comfort, support, and a sense of belonging. One of the most heartfelt initiatives is the plan to introduce a wetroom. This wetroom would be a place where the homeless could come in the early morning, take a refreshing shower, and start their day with dignity. Alongside the wetroom, GYnet aimed to offer a simple yet heartwarming breakfast—bacon rolls, a hot cup of tea or coffee, or a bowl of cereal. It was a small gesture, but one that could make a significant difference in someone’s day. The vision didn’t stop there. The community centre is designed to be a vibrant meeting place for the local residents. It is a space where people could come together, share stories, and rebuild the social fabric that had frayed over time. There are designated areas for children and adults, ensuring that everyone can have an enjoyable experience. The laughter of children playing and the hum of conversations among adults filled the air, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. As summer approached, The Heart of GYnet have even more ambitious plans. They hope to collaborate with the local council to use the nearby park for campovers. These campovers were not just about spending a night under the stars; they were educational experiences. With a telescope linked to a big screen, families could marvel at the night sky, learning about the constellations and the wonders of the universe. These simple things are things that will stay in a Child's memory forever. Occasionally, they would also screen a film outdoors, adding a touch of magic to the evenings. This dream was reminiscent of the days when the Newtown Youth Club was a bustling hub of activity. The founders of The Heart of GYnet are determined to revive that spirit and create a space that could help so many people, thanks to the kindness and support of the local council. They were optimistic and excited about the future, looking forward to updating the community on their progress. To bring this vision to life, GYnet planned to launch a GoFundMe page. They hoped that with the support of the community, they could push forward with their ideas and make The Heart of GYnet a reality. It is a journey filled with hope, determination, and the unwavering belief that together, we can create a brighter future for everyone in North Yarmouth.
