Bowling for Kids will be held on Saturday, February 24th from 9am to noon at Mountain View Lanes in Woodstock. Money raised from this event will be used to support student field trip activities for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.
Sponsors are needed to ensure the success of this event.
By supporting this event, you are supporting the advancement of education by providing students with a window to the real world that they don't get in the classroom. These trips help students better understand real-world applications of subjects like Math, Science, and English. Field trips are recognized as important moments in learning; a shared social experience that provides the opportunity for students to encounter and explore the world outside of the classroom. Their importance is supported by professional organizations such as the National Science Teachers Association which asserts field trips can “deepen and enhance” classroom study and the National Research Council who assert “a quality curriculum is one that extends beyond the walls of the classroom.”
