North Devon young carers

Hi! I'm Charley, and I am doing a sponsored skydive on October 27th 2021 (unfortunately postponed until 25th February 2022 due to weather conditions), to raise money for north Devon young carers.

This charity help to support young people who care for their family members, providing both emotional and practical support, and offering a range of amazing trips and days out which otherwise may be unavailable to them.

I have decided to raise money for this charity because, as a young carer myself, they have helped me through difficult times I have faced, not only at home but also in school and college. Through this charity I have been given some amazing opportunities, including being a part of the NHS young carers health champions programme and raising awareness during lockdown last year on BBC radio Devon and BBC spotlight.

I have recently become a volunteer for this charity, allowing me to work with and reach out to a range of people of all ages, lifestyles and backgrounds.

I want to raise as much money as possible from this skydive to help allow this charity to continue to support our range of young carers, and to aid new activities, trips and get-togethers for them.
