Norris Family Hurricane

Hello friends and family. I am James Cabe. Brother to Cece Norris. They are affected by Hurricane Harvey in one of the wildest and most surprising circumstances that one could imagine. Their house was sacrificed to save the lives of the entire city downstream. This GoFundMe has been erected simply to help them return their lives to some sort of normalcy through their own sweat equity. We are simply asking for aid for building materials to return their home to its original condition before the flood.
Background:
Cece and Mike Norris are good members of their community and help others through their church as much as they can. They did not live in a flood plain in Houston. During Hurricane Harvey the local government decided to emergency release water into their neighborhood so they were emergency evacuated in the flood waters out of their neighborhood. Their house is still underwater. Insurance for houses not-at-risk for flooding is not mandatory. So like many others in Houston, they did not have insurance as it is very expensive.
The Norris family had been preparing to sale that house to move closer to my aging parents when this tragedy occured. So much of their money had been invested in the rennovation for the sale of the house. They were not allowed much time to gather their things and they had just finished shopping for school clothes for the boys.
Please help us to help them out. My family is helping them with the immediate need for clothing, housing, and food. But they will need long term help with the house if they expect to get back to normal.
The ask:
I put together some numbers for a typical house remediation given the damage that has occurred to their house. This in no-way will include the labor (arguably the most expensive part) as there will be a great amount of sweat-equity from everyone in the family put into this.
Materials for the house (estimated from Homedepot and low-balled):
(2600/4ft panels)*$10= $6500 - sheet rock
2 x $1100(vanity combo set)=2200 - bathroom vanities with sinks
$10000 - kitchen cabinets (pre-fab) and appliances
2000sq ft*$7= $14000 - tile floor (replacement for carpets)
=~$35,000.00
That is with tax and some delivery charges. The smallest amounts like $10 will buy a single sheet of rock for their house. We will take a picture of the sheet and write your name on it, if you would like, when we put it in (sinks too).
Please help us out with these issues, as it will be overwhelming for a family that had seen its struggles over the past few years when the economy stagnated.
