My name is Mikkel and I am asking for your kindness and generosity to help me raise $1000 for 2 non profits Supporting veterans suffering from post traumatic stress disorder PTSD in memory of my father, a 20 year army veteran of 2 wars both Vietnam and Korea.
After trying to make sense of my fathers death over the past year I knew that I needed to doing something positive to contribute to the world in his honor.
I learned 2 things along the way:
1. He suffered from PTSD since as early as I can remember and I didn’t even realize it until his final months when I witnessed him relive much of his combat experience from his hospital bed.
2. In his final years he began losing the ability to do the simple day to day tasks that you and I take for granted. Bending over, picking things up off the ground and walking became difficult. It made me realize that we owe it to ourselves to protect both our mind and our bodies while we still can. And support those that need it the most. This is one of the reasons I became a CrossFit instructor.

a new non profit founded by former Navy Seal Commander Mark Devine.
You can also join me on Monday Dec 18th in a memorial workout I have created dubbed “Norman”. It’s a 30min workout in reference to the 30 days he was MIA after being shot down in his helicopter over the jungles of Vietnam.
