Help Save Norma Casali's Life

Norma Casali is a long time family friend. She was diagnosed a few years back with pulmonary fibrosis. This horrible, hereditary disease affected both of her lungs. There is no medication to treat it - the only option is a transplant.

In April of last year, the doctors at Duke University, in North Carolina, gave ...her a second chance at life. Her condition was so fragile that they were only able to transplant one lung. Unfortunately, the second lung is worse with every day that passes. The doctors have told her that it must be replaced quickly. The insurance will cover the surgery however; it is a requirement of Duke University that she has $10k in the bank to cover all other expenses including the anti-rejection medication. In a nutshell, they won't waste a healthy organ on someone who can't afford the medication to keep their body from rejecting it. Norma, has been out of work since well before her first surgery and has since depleted her savings. The kind folks at Carlton Fields, the firm where she worked at for many years, helped raise the funds for her first surgery but this time around we are reaching out to whoever can find it in their hearts to help. We are asking for even the smallest donation - a dollar that you give, is a dollar closer to her third shot at life.
