The "No Name Female" - Bait Puppy

On Saturday January 31st, an emaciated, injured female pit bull came running into our garage as we were leaving to run some errands. She was in need of serious medical attention, so we made some phone calls and were able to get her seen by an emergency vet. The vet determined that, aside from being under-weight and having the injuries to her face and front legs, she was an otherwise healthy dog. They sedated her, shaved her head, cleaned out all of her wounds and pumped her full of antibiotics - they sent us home with 3 medications and instructions for keeping her warm and safe. They counted more than 100 puncture wounds, and said that her injuries were consistent with those of a bait dog (a female used to get males fired up for fights).
An amazing man from the American Pit Bull Foudation here in Charlotte covered her expenses at the emergency vet, but there will be more medical expenses going forward - she still needs to be vaccinated and fixed (things that we know for sure). We are attempting to raise money for this sweet girl's healthcare - and we would also like to give back to the people that have helped us with her:
- The American Pit Bull Foundation here in Charlotte
- The Cabarrus Emergency Vet Clinic
- Kreitzer's Puppy Corral Rescue (this is a rescue that we have worked with in the past, and the one that got us connected with the emergency vet).
Please consider donating so that we can get this sweet girl back on her feet, and give back to the amazing non-profit foundations and vet that have helped us on this journey! Thank you.
PS: In case you're wondering about the "No Name Female"...when we took her to the emergency vet, we obviously didn't have a name for her, so they entered her into their system  as "No Name Female".

Please check out our Facebook page for more info and pictures of this sweet girl!
