Fix Shawn's Aching Back (and Leg)

I'm in pain and it sucks.
The source of the pain is my lower back and the real problem right now is, it's radiating into my left leg. It's bad enough now that just getting up and walking across the room is a real challenge.
I've had issues with my back off and on for a long time. In the past, when they've flared up, I just took some prescription muscle relaxers and took it easy for a few days. But this time it's much worse.
I had an acupuncture treatment earlier this week and it did help to mitigate the pain. I've used acupuncture before for this kinda thing. Back in 2011, I was suffering from an injury to my upper left arm. I had weekly acupuncture treatments on the arm and after a couple months, the pain all but disappeared. I'm hopeful that a series of regular acupuncture treatments could also help with the back pain.
The pain is at a base level where it's starting to create a "numbing" effect on my brain, making it difficult to concentrate and work. I'd like to try and "aggressively" treat the back problem with acupuncture. That's where I need your help.
Individual acupuncture treatments are $55.00 each. They're not covered by my medical insurance. I'd like to get one (if not two) treatments per week. The total amount I'm trying to raise would guarantee that I could get at least ten more treatments.
I know there are some who are skeptical about acupuncture but it has worked for me (and Jen) in the past. I also have an appointment coming up with my regular doctor to go over this. Between that and the acupuncture, I'm hoping I'll be able to come at this problem from two sides and really knock it out.
I also realize that $550 may not seem like a lot of money but it's equivalent to about 25% of my current monthly household income. I can't currently afford this many acupuncture appointments in a relatively short period of time.
