NOMADS United
Hi, my name is Robert Peacock and I am fundraising for a new organization I founded in 2020 in response to the needs of neurodivergents and to help forward the neurodiversity movement globally.
It has been difficult for many who think differently as they are often classified as thinking defectively. And the problem is that it's simply not true! Being different and diverse neurologically is not only acceptable but desirable, especially as our world grows more complex and diversified (not unified or standardized).
The funds will go to education, advocacy and hands-on support of neurodivergents and neurodiversity in Canada and around the world.
My organizational goals are two-fold ...
1) Big Picture Change:
To advocate for neurodiversity to be recognized as a protected class in Canada and written into the Human Rights Code so that neurodivergents are no longer subject to systemic discrimination and have access to equal rights based on their differences.
2) Small Picture Change:
To participate with and support neurodivergents in developing their abilities and innate traits with real hands-on projects support. This could include authoring books, coaching, technical and managerial supports and services and networking.
If you want to support the next Einstein, Jobs or [enter your favourite global transformer, they were likely a divergent) OR just the kid down the street who is misunderstood and needs a new path opened to them then please give what you can and please be generous if you want to see these changes.
Cheers,
Robert Peacock
