I just completed my residency training in New Orleans, and man is it a city full of great doctors and residents! Residents have been the backbone of the New Orleans healthcare system for some time now. Now, as Orleans and Jefferson Parish lead the state with COVID cases those individuals have continued to step up and provide for their patients.
We are working to provide nutrition to continue doing work as physicians already miss meals on regular days... but also with psychological support and morale boost that they will continue to need in the coming days and weeks. Residents ALREADY work 80 hour weeks with very minimal pay, and are on the front lines fighting the COVID19 epidemic now.
We aim to connect local businesses in New Orleans who are still delivering food with resident teams taking care of the sickest patients in major hospitals. Our goal is to support as many resident teams as possible with a daily meal from a local business. Resident status is verified as much as is possible. Any additional funds raised will go to support medical trainees in New Orleans in their training programs and day to day needs.

We are saving all receipts and tracking payments, deliveries, and the fees to GoFundMe (OH YEAH they get 2.9% and 30 cents per transaction) to make sure all your donation dollars get to residents. We are trying to get pics from these busy young doctors to close the loop with you about where this goes.
