<div>Deen Kogan and Lou Boxer founded NoirCon in 2007 in Philadelphia, and the intimate, one-of-a-kind, and offbeat conference was immediately embraced by the mystery community. Unfortunately, Deen's sudden passing in 2018 left the NoirCon family devastated and without her ardent leadership, and the 2018 symposium was canceled. Covid prevented us from reconvening in 2020.

<div>If noir is what we fear most—loneliness, isolation, darkness, violence—then NoirCon is a community bent on embracing our fears as seen through movies, books, music or art. Misery does love company, but when it is amongst friends, it makes life just a little sweeter.
