TMI's No Dancer Left Behind!

Donation protected

The McIntyre Institute™ is a non-profit educational, dance-arts and community program which was established to provide professional instruction and physical support. The McIntyre Institute™ takes pride in reaching beyond the call to dance by providing its students with the following:

-Character Education
-Reading & Math Tutorial Program
-Promotion of self-esteem
-Working with students with special needs
-Confidence and dexterity
-Stimulating social interaction and cultural exchange
-Promotion of conflict resolution
-Cognitive/logistical reasoning and critical thinking
-Development of repetitive memory
-Physical fitness and self-discipline

The McIntyre Institute™ became a non- profit 501c3 organization in 2001.  Our 15 week program
productively enhances individuals socially, culturally and physically.  It generates many opportunities and positive change for the disadvantaged. In addition, our program targets groups whom are under served and physically challenged. See Mini Video Clip of our Program: http://youtu.be/LiigezZ2B7c

Due The McIntyre Institute’s™ exceptional efforts and talented students, the class of 2015 have been selected as the first faith based dance school/dance company to present a full community outreach concert at Universal Studios Orlando May 14-17, 2015.  We are extremely excited and honored to be a part of such a wonderful event. We will be transporting 120+ students to Orlando with pride!

However, Universal Studios, as exciting as it is, is also a highly public space. Studies have shown an estimated 58,200 children were abducted by a nonfamily perpetrator in the study year, including an estimated 115 victims of stereotypical kidnappings. Moreover, an estimated 21 percent of all nonfamily abducted children (approximately 12,100) were also reported to law enforcement as missing. Girls were the predominant victims of nonfamily abductions overall and of stereotypical kidnappings as well (65% and 69%, respectively), reflecting the frequency of sexual assault as a motive for many nonfamily abductions.

It is our desire to provide a safe and productive outing for our students (90 % females) during this exciting event.  With your donation, we will be able to provide each student with (2) neon colored T-shirts for both their Friday and Saturday outing. The uniformed neon
t-shirts will provide a constant landmark and reference point for the group at large.  And will allow us to make sure "no dancer is left behind".  We will display the following key points on the shirts to ensure group awareness-reference:

-Name of the School
-School's Contact Information
-Name of the event

TMI trains exceptional students with learning disabilities, cancer patients as well as cancer survivors, and survivors of physical and verbal abuse. You would also be inspired and motivated by the successes of our Reading and Math Tutorial Program, catering to 1st-7th graders. With the assistance of our reading and math instructors, this program helped students increase their FCAT scores by 25%.

In advance, we appreciate each donation as we move towards our goal. Thank you!
