Noah Bouchard's AVM Journey

Noah is an 18 year old young man who is currently a Senior at Gaither High School in Tampa Fl. He is actively involved in the FFA where he shows his show  cows and is heavily involved in his Family's small working farm .  Noah is a kind hearted, hardworking young man with a bright future ahead of him.  During all of the "unknowns" Noah has always and continues to hold his head up and look at the positive!
Back in 2012 during a brain scan Noah was diagnosed with a 3cm AVM ( arterial venous malformation) this is a tangle of arteries and blood vessels in his brain located in the motor cortex. Noah suffers from sensory seizures, headaches and other AVM related issues. At the time of his diagnosis his Neurosurgeon thought it was best to watch it because his motor function to his right arm is heavily involved and with surgery we risk paralyzing the right arm. Noah continued to show signs of his AVM being active and their plans changed from waiting for  him to graduate high school first. As of Sept 26 plans have changed again as Noah's AVM has become more active and the Dr.  feels this is the warning phase of a possible hemorrhage in his future. After completing a functional MRI to map out Noah's brain, we now know that there a 100% chance Noah will lose function to his right arm however with therapy there is a 50% chance that he can regain most motor function back. We asked the Dr. to wait until the week before Thanksgiving to do the surgery so we can prepare as well as making it less time for Noah to be out of school with Thanksgiving and Christmas break. Since we had originally planned on waiting until Noah graduated from high school for this major operation, we are trying to mentally, physically and financally prepare for our journey ahead.  Please take a moment to donate.  Anything helps! All monies donated will be used for time missed from work for Noah's parents, as he will have a lengthy stay in the hospital following his surgery.  Noah will need rehab, medications and round the clock assistance following his surgery.  Noah's motto is "Never let your fear decide your fate".  These are such true words and with his loving family and friends by his side...Noah will look forward to an amazing future ...WE GOT THIS!
