Help Fight Noah's Brain Tumor

This is my brother Noah:
He is a loving, supporting, and all around happy guy. I often tell him to stop giving so much because he doesn't have much for himself. That doesn't stop him, instead he will spend his last dollar on a beer for someone, drive out of his way for a friend, and just about anything for anyone who asks.
Noah should be doing things that he likes.
Going to too many concerts:
Drinking too much beer:
Going to more of our family's weddings: (We have two next year!)
Instead.... he was in the hospital for most of November.

In short, Noah has a 5cm brain tumor in his left frontal lobe of his brain. There is a lot of uncertainty right now but we are getting all the info out we can right now because we have an out-pour of people who are asking for ways to support him.

3. Chugging beer?
This is only for the Beer Society group Noah is a part of on Facebook but they literally raised almost $2000 already by chugging beer. Thank you crazy beer people for your kindness and support.

Here is a summary of events so far:
Luckily we celebrated his birthday early this year! For the Lions vs. Giants game we surprised him and all dressed in Lions gear to watch the game the Sunday before his birthday. (Cover photo)
On his 28th Birthday, my brother, Noah Baker unusually came home late from work complaining of feeling fatigued and battling a terrible headache. There was no celebration that day, instead he decided to eat his birthday dinner quickly, shower, and go to sleep. Not 5 minutes later, Noah had a seizure and an ambulance was called. He was brought to Ascension Genesys Hospital just down the street from our home in Fenton, MI. In the Emergency room they were able to bring Noah back out of confusion and for a brief period it seemed like this incident might have been a crazy fluke incident. He spoke with us for about 30 minutes and even told us how bad he felt that he would be missing work the next day. Out of precaution, the staff at Genesys ordered a CT scan of his brain to check for abnormalities. During the scan Noah had another seizure so the staff sedated him and placed him on a respirator.
At this point we were informed that they found a 5cm diameter mass in Noah’s left frontal lobe of his brain. A biopsy was ordered and completed successfully to get specimens to identify the severity of the tumor and the exact composition. To make matters worse Noah aspirated after surgery causing fluid to enter his right lung, this caused complications and left our family without an alert Noah for 2 weeks. Out of concern, the family decided to transfer Noah to University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor Michigan to assure his lungs would recover and that he would have the best care available. As of now his lungs have recovered, but we are still uncertain the severity of his tumor or what direction the Neurology department will recommend for him.

When Noah woke up he had some work to do. Due to the nature of brain surgery, Noah had to work to retrain his brain. Once awake, we found out that small things escape him such as the months of the year or identifying animals. Luckily Noah made a speedy recovery from this process and was out of the hospital within a few days. At this point he is working on getting his physical strength back, he dropped nearly 50 pounds during his 3 week hospital stay! He back to his old self and just awaiting the next steps from University of Michigan. This is a frustrating and confusing process that will take as much support as we can gain to help Noah recover from this initial surgery and from future treatments. Bills are starting to come in for the various treatments Noah had to undergo. Whether it be the initial biopsy, multiple ambulance rides, MRIs, CTscans, hospital stay time, and perhaps further surgery if required. Based on what we have seen so far we are estimating that $10,000 should be able to offset his medical costs.
Thank you all for reading this and for your concern. This has been a challenging and confusing time for Noah and our entire family. We have been completely overjoyed with the out-pour of concern and the offers of support from his friends and work. We will provide updated information as we find out more.
