No Rain = No School

Big parts of South Africa has been in a severe drought for the last 4+years. Although there has been feed donations and care packages, things are still getting worse daily. One such area is the rural town of Aberdeen in the Eastern Cape. 

The needs are endless in all areas that are suffering from this severe drought, but this fund is specifically aimed at helping children to continue attending school.

3 Example cases: 

1) An 11 year old girl who lost both her parents at a very young age. She is living with her grandmother, who has to work in the local bar in order to keep food on the table, earning about $250 A MONTH. The farm community has always helped “cases” like this, but with the area caught in the drought, the community can’t do enough. 

2&3) A brother and sister. Children of a local farmer. A farmer who long ago stopped getting an income from his farm, but managed to keep food on the table and in the trough through generous donations. He never stopped smiling and repeatedly encouraged everyone around him with the words:
“Every day is one day closer to the rain”
However, things are at breaking point. The bank is threatening to repossess his truck and all the bills are in arrears. He is on the verge of selling (basically giving away) a piece of land to pay for school. Land that has been in his family for 4 generations! 
We want to help them keep the land in the family AND keep the children in school. If a man is willing to sell his farm to give his children an education, it says a lot...
