Hi, I'm Susan... A mother, grandmother, veteran, and just an average paycheck-to-paycheck worker.

Unfortunately, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I'm in the hospital right now... nothing too serious, but I need to get surgery that cannot wait, so I'll not be able to work for a week or so.

What does that have to do with needing funds? Well, I just started a new job and I have not earned any PTO or sick time, so while I am out of work, I will have no pay. As I said, I'm a paycheck-to-paycheck person and have no fallback funds to cover the gap, and like most families, we're all paycheck-to-paycheck.

I know many people find themselves in the same situation and really don't think my situation is any more worthy, but I am praying for a hail Mary and hoping there are people out there who may have a few dollars here or there to help out. I don't need much to cover my time off... about $1500, but when you don't have it, it may as well be $150,000.
