As you know Doug has been at home battling kidney failure. We have set up this fundraiser to provide a simple way for those who wish to contribute towards his medical costs associated with a transplant surgery & the daily bills that have been hard to manage with being off work in Kidney failure & the months to follow in recovery.
Even for patients who have good insurance coverage a transplant can still be a tremendous financial burden to anti-rejection medications, co-pays, transportation, and follow-up medical care after receiving a transplant, the out-of-pocket expenses add up quickly . Doug is the main support of income for his family, so add to this
include his Family expenses related to the transplant surgery, including the Donor.
We are so grateful that Doug will have his Kidney Transplant on January 31 , thanks to an Amazing living Donor, and we wish to support Doug & his Donor & family during this time.
Monique, Doug's Donor & cousin, from The Netherlands will be making the trip to Canada, & staying until she is cleared to fly home.
Doug will have time in the hospital & once cleared to come home Doug will have many weeks of recovery and rest and this family will need our love and support.

to assist Doug , Candice & Cortlynn with things like cooking, & those personals that need to get done & pile up while we dedicate ourselves to Doug & his recovery.
