No Kid Will Be Left Behind at My School

My name is Som Noy. I am a Cambodian woman from a small village called Srei Snam, approximately one hour from Siem Reap, Cambodia. When I was a young girl I was unable to attend school regularly. Now I am a happily married woman, with a small child of my own, after an unfortunate miscarriage of our first son for which the school is named. I have been lucky enough to be able to educate myself, with the help of my American husband, my friends and the wider community.
It has always been my ambition to open a school in my village and I am working very hard to achieve that dream through both my own 2nd hand shop and your kind donations . My husband and I have sourced all the materials, so far, ourselves and have constructed everything. I teach 3 classes a day and try to provide books, paper and pens/pencils and also provide basic meals daily. We do not charge the children or their families for this gift of knowledge, but we are not an endless pot of sunshine. With your help and kind donations, I will be able to continue to see my vision through. My school is small but it has room for all. No kid will be left behind at Kevins School for English in Cambodia.
