11/14 UPDATE: We have purchased $1100 in Safeway gift cards for STEM and Roxhill kids for the Thanksgiving break! Thank you to everyone who made this possible!! Still raising for winter break so keep sharing and donating! <3
11/6 UPDATE: We have hit our goal and can send all 19 kids who partiticpate in this program at STEM home with $50 Safeway gift cards for the Thanksgiving break and $100 gift cards for winter break! I have bumped up our goal to begin raising $$ to do the same for Roxhill Elementary who also partipates in this program.
Original story: Hi there, every week I assemble back packs of food at Louisa Boren STEM K-8 School from the West Seattle Food Bank for kids in need to take home for the weekend.
With the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays coming up, I want to be able to send them home with something extra for the long break. Please help me raise $$ to purchase Safeway gift cards for 19 kids to be placed in their weekend backpacks before the Thanksgiving holiday AND before the Christmas holiday.

Note: Please note that this fundraiser is being held separate from the school and the PTA. I am just a member of the community who would like to give back. All funds raised will go directly and only to the purchase of Safeway gift cards for these students.
