1 in every 5 children in America faces food insecurity in the US.

That means far too many children go home not knowing if there will be enough food for dinner—or where their next meal will come from.

This year, Poppa Earle’s Tailgate Festival is Cooking for a Cause, and we’re asking our community to come together to help fight hunger right here at home.

We are raising money for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, which serves families, children, seniors, and individuals facing hunger across 11 parishes in South Louisiana and provides up to 50,000 meals each month to people in need.

On November 20 & 21, 2026, the 2nd Annual Poppa Earle’s Tailgate Festival will bring our community together for two days of food, music, tailgating, competition, and fun—but this year, we want the impact to go far beyond the festival.

Our goal is to turn good food and good times into a great cause.
