Michelle's Kick Cancer's Ass Fund

Our incredible friend Michelle Defrane was recently diagnosed with stage-2, grade-3 Breast Cancer (Infiltrating/Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Cancer). Currently, Michelle is consulting with oncologists, breast surgeons and plastic surgeons around the valley, and will undergo a double-mastectomy and chemotherapy. This means she'll lose her boobs and her hair will fall out, and she will likely undergo far more horrors throughout this process. 

While this has come as a shock and has created feelings of both fear and helplessness, Michelle is (and always has been) a fierce, strong, fighting woman - ROAR! True to form, Michelle is finding ways to make jokes about FINALLY getting that boob job she always wanted, and despite her fear, gratitute seems to be flowing from every part of her being. Many friends and family members have offered to help pick up kids, drive Michelle to appointments, bring dinner for her family, refer her to doctors, etc. And greatest of all, she recognizes that God's love and protection surround her as she takes her first steps down this path. 

This Michelle we know does not ever go down without a fight (in fact, I've NEVER seen her lose a fight) and many of us have witnessed her literally laughing in the face of adversity (and stupidity). Michelle makes everything fun, she loves life, she lives on the edge, and she loves Todd and Noah and Megan and Tatum to no end. Also, she kills animals and eats them! This hunter/camper/hiker/explorer/adventurer woman is never afraid to take a risk, never afraid to look foolish, she does not apologize for herself, and she always seeks opportunities to learn and grow.
