Every little bit helps! Family in need.

This past week I returned home from work to spend the rest of my day with my 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son. Pulling into the driveway I instantly noticed my daughter Abigail looking out the window for me and noticed she was crying hysterically. 

I entered the house through my garage where my daughter met me hysterical saying “Daddy I tried to but couldn’t because I’m too little and you need to come look”.  Dragging me through the house to the bedroom I found my children’s mother passed out drunk with my son sleeping next to her. The horror had just begun!

My son James was covered head to toe in feces.  The Carpet, dresser, blankets, sheets, pillows. I put my son in the bath and started to wash him while Abigail helped take care of her brother cleaning him up with a wash cloth saying “I’ll take care of you baby”.  Abigail then told me that their mother was sleeping all day and she couldn’t wake her so she pulled her brother  from his crib and fed him a donut and that they were starving because she didn’t know how to make anymore food. 

I called the police and they arrested her on two counts of child endangerment and quickly removed her from the home.  Their mother has had a long history of alcohol abuse and issues related to alcoholism in the past.  Never in a million years would I have thought she would do something like this to put my children in danger. If it wasn’t for the actions of Abigail(4) the outcome could have been dangerously worse and it sickens me to think of what could have happened to them being unsupervised all day fending for themselves. 

I demanded an order of protection for my children and she will not be near these  beautiful children for a very long time.  That being said this week has been insanely crazy with court, phone calls, police, cps and attorneys.  This has literally taken everything I have saved and worked for. 

Abigails  5th birthday and obviously Christmas for the children, and a mountain of current expenses now that I have the kids in child care is out of my reach and I am looking for assistance. 

I know that there is social services and other programs that I can and will try and obtain, but my current situation calls for more immediate assistance. 

I am a very hard working man and again work for everything I have so this post in itself is heart breaking even asking this community for help is something I never thought I would have to do. 

Please from the bottom of our hearts share/repost/and if possible donate. I am raising money so that I can obtain an attorney because I am not foolish enough to think she is just going to hand over and not fight over the kids.  Also the other expenses have already become to much and are already taking their toll on myself as well.
