Help Send a Bright Young Man on the Chance of a Lifetime
Provide funding to send a high school student to the National Youth Leadership Forum
Our Story:
Thank you for taking the opportunity to help my family! My son, Matt, has an incredible opportunity to join the National Youth Leadership Forum and represent his school at select campuses across the country. This is a unique chance to get a hands on experience dealing with leading edge technology being taught by leaders in the industry.
Unfortunately, I am a single parent, and have a limited income. It isn’t free to send a child to the NYLF, and there are fees along with the cost of flying him to the forum and back. It’s also an exclusive program, and not all children who apply are ultimately accepted, so it puts us in a tough spot. We are hoping we can count on the crowd fund community to help send him to this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Impact:
Founded in 1992, the National Youth Leadership Forum has helped prepare extraordinary young people for their academic future and professional careers. From day one, the NYLF program mission was to bring various professions to life, empowering outstanding young people with confidence to prepare for and transition into well-informed career choices.
Participating students have the opportunity to earn one or two college credits, depending upon the length of the program, and credits are transferable to other 4-year colleges or universities.
Having Matt in this program will open a number of doors to careers, universities, and life skills that he otherwise wouldn’t have received otherwise. The simple fact that he has been accepted into the program is a huge sign that he deserves this opportunity!
What We Need and What You Get:
We are seeking assistance to cover the costs of the program, airfare, as well as any additional expenses related to Matt’s travel, sightseeing, etc while he’s on his trip. The fees for this program can run anywhere up $4,500 or more. The cost of airfare is, of course, variable depending on how early we can purchase tickets.
Your help will get Matt to the NYLF and give him the opportunity to get a jump on the college rush, as well as prepare him for a number of careers in the future!
