Sharon's Study Abroad to Cuba Trip

I'm a history major at Georgia State University. I was accepted into the university's study abroad program to Cuba scheduled for May.  The trip is $2850.  I used money from my financial aid to pay the $850 deposit. (My deposit became unrefundable after February 6th). I now have $2000 left to pay. The money is due by March 20th. I applied for an IEF Scholarship in the amount of $1000. I won the scholarship. However, the money for it will not be dispersed until May.  This means I still have to come up with the $2000 by the 20th. I'm a veteran who lives solely on my VA disability benefits. It would take almost 4 months of my total income to come up with the money. This trip would mean so much to me. Its an opportunity to explore the history and culture of another country and I hope to take what I learn from it and apply it in my own classroom when I graduate this December as a high school history teacher.  I know this is a lot to ask and I am sincerely grateful for any donation that helps me reach this goal.
