Martinez Family Fire Recovery Fund

On the evening of July 18th, a garage explosion set our house on fire. While no one was hurt, the fire and subsequent water damage has left our home uninhabitable and our parents without transportation and work equipment.

We’re raising funds to cover urgent costs not covered by home insurance; mainly our father’s work truck and his landscaping work equipment. These were not insured for fire damage and are the main source of income for the household. Any leftover funds will be used towards rebuilding or buying a new home.

We’re thankful to family, friends, neighbors, and strangers who have shared or donated to this fundraising campaign. Your support means so much to us during this difficult moment.

En la tarde del 18 de julio, una explosión causó un incendio en nuestro hogar. Afortunadamente no hubieron heridos. Sin embargo, el incendio y los daños de agua han dejado nuestra casa completamente inhabitable y nuestros papás sin transportación o maquinaria de trabajo.

Estamos recaudando fondos para cubrir costos urgentes no cubiertos por la póliza de seguro; en especial la camioneta y la maquinaria de jardinería necesaria para el negocio de nuestro papá. Estas no estaban aseguradas en caso de incendios y son indispensables para el bienestar financiero de nuestra familia. Cualquier dinero que sobre será usado para reconstruir o comprar un nuevo hogar.
