Jill's Kick'n the Cancer Fundraiser

This account is going towards medical expenses that my little sister, Jill, will be incurring over the next year or more.  She has the cutest little blog she has made to share her story.  I will link to that below.  But basically she is 30 years old, living in Saratoga Springs, 3 little kids and a sweet hubby.  They just put down money to start building their first new home together.  They have been saving up and renting for the past several years.  In January of this year she was in a car accident and started having pain in her neck after the accident.  Her tongue started to go numb, and she could feel a large bump in her neck.  After CT scans, PET scans, a biopsy (and I hear she is having another one today) and MRI's, they have found that she has Thyroid Cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes and is moving down her neck.  The accident may have just been the little blessing she needed so that the cancer could be found. 

She is currently meeting with cancer specialists and surgeons who will remove her Thyroid and her lymph nodes as well as they are discussing what steps to take to treat her.  It will all depend on the type of cancer they find out this is that is taking over her body.  She can expect a lengthy surgery as well as radiation in a couple of different forms.  Our prayers, thoughts and fasting are going out to her and family at this time.  She is in need of and totally deserves a little miracle.  :)

Many of us family and friends of Jill just know how devistating this is for her.  She recently lost her dearest friend, Britney, to Leukemia, and her Grandma as well.  Cancer is never fair, and we all know and love someone who has had to deal with this horrible disease.   

The only way besides just lending our support that I think would help their family right now is to financially help them.  I am sure they will be meeting their out of pocket max (luckily they do have insurance, which is such a blessing).  But her out of pocket max/deductible starts over in July.  Also, both she and Adam will be missing a lot of work and any money we could raise could greatly help their family during this difficult time.  All proceeds will go directly to Jill and her family.  I know she will be so touched.  I can't count the many times she did things like this for her dear friend, or how many times Jill thinks of others.  I have been her recipient more times than I can count.  I love her so much and I KNOW she is a fighter!  She has got this! She will do all she can to get herself back to healthy for her and her little family.  If you can help, even if it is just a small amount, I know it would touch her.  And please leave her words of encouragement.  WE LOVE YOU JILL!!!
