Kenya Mission Trip

Hello family and friends! This summer I have the wonderful opportunity to go on a mission trip to Nairobi, Kenya. I am so excited! I am looking forward to using my first summer off of teaching to do work for our Heavenly Father. I have always felt a calling to serve God’s children, and being able to travel to another part of the world to serve people with different needs will be life changing. 
     I will working with Missions of Hope Internarional in the Mathare Valley slum of Nairobi. I will be a part of a group that will be helping children in the Gitathuru community at a school. We will be running a sports camp during the week we are there and we will helping the teachers learn new ways to teach their students reading. We will also be visiting people in that community to teach them about malaria, water safety, and Jesus’s love for all of his children. 
     This is going to be an amazing trip, but I cannot make it there alone. I need your help! First of all, please pray for me and the team that is going. Pray for us as we prepare for this trip and while we are in Kenya. Pray for safe travels, and that God may work through us to touch and change lives. Secondly, you can donate money to help me get there. The trip costs $3,000, and while I wish I could afford to go without any assistance, it is not possible.
