Support Us so We Can Support You Ridge Park Civic Association is a community organization of volunteers working to improve our neighborhood within Roxborough &amp; Manayunk in Philadelphia, PA   We represent the community residing within the boundaries of Henry Avenue to the Schuylkill River and Hermitage Street to Harmon Road, including Canton and Umbria Streets to Leverington Avenue. Some of our Activities Include: Neighborhood Conservation Overlay (NCO) -Maintains the beautiful public streetscape and visual qualities of our neighborhood by implementing standards for new construction. In addition to establishing our NCO, we also worked with City Planning and the Roxborough Development Corporation on the implementation of several zoning overlays, to correct zoning classifications to conform to a property’s present use and also to preserve the larger parcels within our community from subdivision by developers. Ridge Avenue Historic District - The purpose of this initiative seeks to ensure the preservation of historically significant buildings and structures along Ridge Avenue from the Wissahickon Creek to the Montgomery County line.  The Philadelphia Historical Commission is considering the proposed creation of a Ridge Avenue Thematic Historic District.  The commission, working with the office of Councilman Curtis Jones Jr., has drafted a nomination that would create the district, identifying “buildings, structures and sites linked by association, plan, design or history".  Click <a href="http://www.montgomerynews.com/roxreview/news/historic-district-proposed-in-roxborough/article_8b7c25dc-04ec-56a3-81f9-5670cba5c4d2.html">HERE</a> for more information Tree Tenders - Planting Trees locally in collaboration with the Pa Horticultural Society ZBA Hearings - Members of the Board along with the Civic's Attorney research and attend Zoning hearings to fight on our behalf.  These billable hours to the attorney are paid for by the Civic Association.   ZBA Appeals - We are currently working to appeal certain rulings from the Zoning Board and funds are needed to support our attorney.   Tax and Corporate Filings - To apply and obtain  a non-profit status within the community, tax documents and fees are filed and paid for on behalf of the Civic Association.   Ivy Ridge Green - a greening group founded by RPCA members along with members of the surrounding Civics, receives some financial support from the RPCA in its efforts to maintain Germany Hill and the Fountain Street Steps.  Note:  No Donation is too small.  100% of Funds received from GoFundMe will be strictly used to support efforts and activities of the Ridge Park Civic Association and their work supporting the community.
