Please help me get into a new apartment!!

Hello folks! My name is Gary, I'm 61, and on Long Term Disability from an auto accident in upstate New York in 1991. I eventually moved back to Florida in 1998 to help my dad take care of my mother. My mom passed in 1999, about one year or so after I'd moved back to town. I've lived in several locations in the Melbourne, FL area, but then my father passed in 2002. I lived in his place for a year, but couldn't keep up keeping the house up, and I sold his place in 2003. I moved to Titusville which is about 45 miles north of where I was. I eventually moved into a not so well kept apartment complex, The Villager, but it was homey, and all the neighbours got along for the most part. This complex was sold in Sept of 2022. Originally the new owners told us that our leases were not going to be renewed, and we could move out without penalty. Then that stopped, and by the time I put my notice in, I had to rescind it because they expected me to pay off the remaining lease. I waited out my lease, which ended in April of this year, 2023. During this waiting, the new owners offered some of us a 2 month lease that automatically renewed every 60 days if neither party gave 60 days notice. That apparently didn't go over so well, because then they started offering some of the residents 7 month leases. Most folks moved out, and now, out of 48 apartments, only 4 are still occupied. I was paying $750 for a one bedroom apartment and that included water, trash, cable/internet. Now that same apartment is going to rent for $1300, which includes trash removal. You now will have to pay for water, plus electric, and cable/internet!
I'd applied at a 55+ community on November 1st of 2022, but there's a waiting list and apartments just don't come open that often there...so I had to come up with other living arrangements when my lease ended. A long time friend offered me her pool house until I get a place of my own. I am paying rent here, but it's reasonable, a d a lovely neighborhood. Prices in this city have skyrocketed in the past few years, and it's difficult to find a place one can afford on a disability income. The company that bought the old complex is from New Jersey, and they've bought up all the low rent apartment complexes in the city; about 6 complexes so far.
A week or so ago, I got that phone call from the 55+ community! There's an apartment opening up at the end of September. The woman I spoke with (Miss Jordan) was telling me how there were other applicants before me, but that they were all under lease when she called, and couldn't take the apartment. She asked me if I was under lease, and I happily said NO! She next asked me if I was still interested in the apartment, and I happily said YES!! Miss Jordan then told me the apartment would be vacated at the end of Sept, and giving them a few weeks to rejuvenate the apartment, I should* be able to move in by mid October! I'm really excited at the thought of having my own place again, and the wait for this apartment was just short of one year.
I've used some of the money I've already raised to help me move into the pool house in April, and now I have to move again, soon. If you can find it in your heart to help, I most appreciate it!
Monies raised will be used towards deposits, fees, expenses of moving, etc.
