Neviah's Fight Against Leukemia

Donation protected
This is Neviah. She is a bright, energetic 5 year old who enjoys making others happy with her fun loving attitude and contagious smile. She is the 6th of 8 children in her family and brings so much joy to her mom, dad, and siblings. Neviah has been diagnosed with Leukemia and her family needs your help. This is her story: Neviah has been sick for quite some time with flu like symptoms. On June 24th, 2018, Neviah was taken to the hospital to get checked by out by her physician since she wasn't getting better. She was checked out, told that it was just the flu and nothing looked alarming.  For the next few days she fluctuated from times of getting better to getting worse. On June 27th, she looked absolutely awful, so she was taken to the nearest clinic. She was so bad, that she was put on a Life Flight helicopter and taken to the nearest Pediatrics ICU which is more than an hour away.  After being admitted to the PICU, they began running test after test after test in order to find out what was wrong. They found that her blood platelet count is extremely low, she has a blood infection, her fever was up to 104, and she has pneumonia. They immediately began treating all her symptoms. The started to give her multiple blood transfusions. A tube was inserted into her throat to suction out her lungs. They started her on a series of antibiotics to fight the blood infection. She has also been put on oxygen since she is having trouble breathing on her own.  After continued testing, it was determined on Thursday, June 28th, that Neviah has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Today is June 30th. She is still currently in the PICU, where she will be for quite some time. The doctors are still trying to help her fight the infection, which they need to get rid of before they can start to treat her cancer. They are in great need of your love and support in this difficult time. Not only is their financial burden very heavy, but the far distance to the hospital makes it difficult to travel to while trying to care for the needs of their other 7 children at home. We are asking that you please help this beautiful family in anyway that you are able. Thank you.
