Mission Trip to Montana de Luz

Aidan and I are very excited to be going on a mission trip to Montaña de Luz in Honduras this summer!
Montaña de Luz is an orphanage for 32 children affected by HIV/AIDS just outside Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Montaña de Luz (Mountain of Light) is a non-profit organization based in Worthington, Ohio that works with agencies in Honduras to bring these at risk children into a loving environment, providing them with the kind of basic needs that every child deserves.
This will be our first trip to the orphanage, and our first experience with mission work of this type. We have heard about how this kind of experience not only impacts the children in powerful ways, but how those who spend a week with these amazing children are transformed as well! While there, our team will be involved in a work project that will help improve the orphanage, as well as have significant time each day to spend with the children. We are incredibly excited and blessed for this opportunity.
We have set a personal fundraising goal of $3,600 (mission week cost, including airfare) to be raised by April 15, 2015. If our trip sounds like something you would like to support and are able to do so at this time, we would be so grateful. Every tax deductible donation is an immense help. Be assured that 100% of donations we receive will be used towards our fundraising goal. We also pledge to keep our sponsors updated before, during and after our mission trip.
