Chronic Pain: Rebuilding my Life

Three years of pain, three years without a diagnosis, Three years of thinking " I'm going to Die" from what started as an innocent pain in my left arm which now has become Thoracic Outlet Syndrome  and  CRPS Type 1, (affecting my left arm and leg, causing me to lose function in these limbs, just to name a few of the complications.) CRPS is the most painful disease with no cure and little remission. Depression set in hard and anxiety began to take hold, holding my mind and body hostage. I feel helpless and alone despite my family’s unwavering support.

 
 We aggressively fought this horrific disease with medications, physical therapy, and nerve blocks. Unfortunately, these methods were ineffective against this painful disease. Pain management recommended a spinal cord stimulator. After waiting for a year, I finally received my referral to Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, which as of November 18th, I was told that the simulator implant treatment would not help me at all. However, my prayer was answered. If this disease was in Gods will, give me the understanding of what I have and the strength to cope, to get back to loving and embracing life. I will be going to Cleveland Clinic chronic pain rehabilitation program for four weeks. This program is to prepare myself on coping with a chronic pain diease. 

 

I am in despite need of financial help with hotel expenses due to me not having family or friends in Ohio. Cleveland Clinic does not have any assistance as their program is for outpatient only. I'm hours away from family and friends, I will have to stay in Ohio for a month receiving treatment, daily from 8am - 5pm. This program is extremely important to my mental and physical well-being. I want to continue to fight and save my life. Depression is a disease within itself, I need a chance and encouragement and I do believe this program is the beginning, a new start, the first day of the rest of my life!  I am asking for your help.  Thank you for all the love and support.
