Nina Lyman's Medical Bills

Yesterday evening Nina was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Gig Harbor due to severe chest and head pain.  She has been having these attacks for over a year and they have been getting more and more frequent to the point when they are now coming daily and she can no longer lay down to sleep at night. We have been battling with red tape and major restrictions from her insurance company trying to find the right doctor that can give us any answers and give her some much needed relief.  We have been slowly (slow due to insurance) seeing one specialist after another, but none have yet been able to help.

In addition, she was recently diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma that was fast growing on her cheek.  She had to have a mass removed from her cheek yesterday morning.  That was an outpatient surgery and seemed to go ok, but  that apparently sent her body into a major event.  The heart and head pain took over leading to the ambulance ride to the hospital.  They immediately started running a battery of tests. CT scans of her head and chest showed cerebral fluid in her brain and edema in her chest along with enzymes in her blood that say she had a heart attack last night.

We are waiting on more specialists and even more tests this morning and it appears she will need to be moved to a bigger hospital that has the necessary diagnostic equipment.  To be frank her insurance is awful, medical expenses are piling on top of medical expenses not yet paid.  She went from skin cancer surgery to the ER in an ambulance, being admitted and two CT scans, X-ray, ultrasound and stress test, and they aren't even done yet.  We are looking at probable surgery. 

More details will come as we know what the plan is but they are already in serious need of financial help.  We have been covering what we can, but this far exceeds our resources. No matter what happens she won't be able to get back to work for a while, which is their primary source of income.  Any and all donations are so very appreciated.
