I am blessed to embark on an exciting personal adventure, where I will be doing a Mission Trip for nine months starting in October this year. It is part of the Emmanuel School of Mission (ESM) where I will be participating in a compassion outreach to the poor communities in the South of Bronx, New York. But I am hoping to get some help getting/ while over there.
I have always felt the desire to do a Mission Trip and about a month ago I stumbled upon this opportunity. Super random but also a life changing choice where I am trying to trust in God. Fast forward and I have quit my job and getting ready to head off to have some quality time with Our Lord.
This Mission School is based on 4 pillars~
1).Spiritual Life: Daily Mass, adoration and retreats.
2). Intellectual Formation: Classes in Scripture, Theology, Philosophy, Apologetics, Sacraments, Moral Theology, Anthropology, Marriage and Family, Church history and more.
3). Community Life: Living with people of different nationalities.
4). Mission Work: Including evangelisation in schools, pubs, parishes and even on the streets. We also meet the poor and homeless of NYC and do work with the Missionary Sisters of Charity.
I know that God has a hold of my heart and I believe that this is an opportunity to really strengthen my faith and rekindle my love for the Church.
I ask first and foremost that you please keep me in your prayers. Further to this, the cost of ESM New York is $20,000, which includes all living expenses, retreats, mission trips and World Youth Day 2019.
I would be absolutely super appreciative and grateful for any donations of any size to my mission. Whether this be a once off donation or an ongoing donation for the nine months that I am over there.
Please don’t be afraid to send me any prayer intentions you may have (whether you’re able to fund me or not).
