Nikki Atherton

My dear friend Nikki Atherton has been diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme (terminal brain cancer) she had been organising her big 21st birthday party for months and heaps of close friends and family turned up to clebrate with her. But Nikki never got to celebrate her 21st or even eat her cake because she was in hospital waiting to get surgery and waiting on the horrible news that was coming her way.
12 months after the offical diagnosis unfortunately another tumour had grown and we put our hope in radiation as surgery was not an option this time. To our dismay a bleed on the brain was discovered on the second day of radiation leading to Nikki being bought home on pallitive care to Belmunda to be made comfortable with her family at home where she wishes to be.

Nikki and her family need as much funding as possible to make Nikkis wish of staying at home happen. Her mother Mandy Atherton has become her fulltime carer and therefore is off work for the time being. Funding will go towards medication, therapy, physiotherapy and other things to allow the Atherton family to keep Nikki comfortable and at home as she has requested.
