<div>Gold Aura was created on the foundation of COMMUNITY with the soul purpose of elevating each and every person who makes this community what it is. That said, one of our soulshiners and dear friends, Nikki Mason, was diagnosed with chronic neurological Lyme disease in 2019 after dealing with extreme and relentless symptoms much earlier.

<div>While battling neurological lyme for all of these years, she has also been diagnosed with a rare and progressive neurodegenerative disorder (stiff person syndrome) along with multiple auto-immune diseases. This is including but is not limited to chronic inflammatory polyneuropathy, trigeminal neuralgia, mast cell activation, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome and chronic pericarditis. Not only do we support one another fully with an inclusive foundation, but we inherently need each other. Nikki needs us now more than ever. Thus far, all of her appointments with a Lyme specialist have been paid out of her own pocket, even though she has insurance. A large portion of Nikki’s lyme medications, supplements and treatments are also out of pocket. At just 32 years of age, she has been facing this without much assistance. There is little funding and very limited treatment options available. Gold Aura Community was created to help Nikki battle this, raise awareness about Lyme Disease and educate our community on the topic. While there are currently no known cures for her neurodegenerative disorder, we have found a few potential routes that could help Nikki win this battle. At the same time, Nikki must continue to battle late-stage Lyme disease. After spending over 70 grand of her own money, this will require outside funding. Nicole Mason, a genuine go-getter with dreams of becoming a nurse, was born in New York and currently resides there. Although she’s always been the most optimistic, supportive and silly human in the room, she needs our utmost support to help her raise her shine. She is very dear to many people in our community. Like us, Nikki was a show-goer who never stopped dancing and connecting with all walks of life, escorted only by her own style and grace wherever she would go. The Gold Aura community is committed to helping Nikki through this life-changing battle via our events and fundraising.
